## Undergraduate Advising

The [CLAS Academic Services Center](https://undergraduate.clas.uconn.edu/advising/) coordinates undergraduate advising and serves as a resource for faculty advisors and academic departments. Center advisors work alongside faculty to support students throughout their undergraduate careers and serve as a resource for academic departments.

### Support for Faculty and Staff

Need help with an advising question or a student issue? Contact the CLAS Academic Services Center at [clasasc@uconn.edu](mailto:clasasc@uconn.edu) or [connect with an advisor in your department](https://undergraduate.clas.uconn.edu/advising/directory/).

### Advising Appointments

Students should contact their faculty advisor directly to schedule appointments or learn their preferred method for meeting.

In most cases, students can schedule appointments with professional advisors online through [Nexus,](http://nexus.uconn.edu/) an online scheduling application.

Students seeking an appointment with a CLAS Academic Services Center advisor should call [860-486-2822](tel:8604862822).

## Graduate Advising

Graduate advising is coordinated within individual academic departments in partnership with the UConn Graduate School. Faculty advisors and advisory committees guide students through their academic programs, research, and degree requirements.

The Graduate School provides [resources for graduate faculty advisors](https://grad.uconn.edu/faculty-staff-resources/advising-mentoring/) on mentoring, advisement meetings, supporting student well-being, scholarly misconduct, and other related topics.

## Student Resources

Students sometimes need additional support. CLAS advisors can start on our [undergraduate education website](https://undergraduate.clas.uconn.edu/advising/student-resources/). The following University offices also provide resources that faculty advisors frequently recommend:

- [Dean of Students Office](https://dos.uconn.edu/): Supports students experiencing personal challenges, academic difficulties, basic needs concerns, or other issues affecting their success.
- [Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills](https://career.uconn.edu/): Provides career coaching, résumé and CV reviews, career fairs, internships, and other career development resources for undergraduate and graduate students.
- [Center for Students with Disabilities](https://csd.uconn.edu/): Coordinates academic accommodations and provides guidance for students and instructors in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Visit the UConn Academic Catalog for a [comprehensive list of student resources](https://catalog.uconn.edu/undergraduate/student-resources/).
