## Proposal Submissions 

CLAS GMS can walk you through the administrative processes and forms associated with grant proposal submissions. We also serve as a liaison between you and <u>[UConn Sponsored Program Services (SPS)](https://ovpr.uconn.edu/services/sps/)</u> to: 

- Ensure compliance with all sponsor, federal, and University policies and guidelines
- Prepare your proposal and develop your budget
- Facilitate the submission of your proposal

## Timeline 

CLAS GMS requires at least two weeks’ notice before a sponsor deadline and strongly encourages faculty to contact the office as early as possible when planning a proposal. Complex proposals and applications involving subawards may require additional time.

Proposals submitted less than two weeks before the sponsor deadline may not receive priority over proposals submitted with sufficient notice and may not meet internal review deadlines required by the OVPR Review Policy.

If a sponsor provides late notice of a funding opportunity or deadline, CLAS GMS and SPS will work with faculty to support an on-time submission when feasible.

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) offers Research Development Services (RDS) designed to help you craft strong, well-structured proposals that align with funder guidelines and stand out to reviewers.
